Coming from a distinguished line of 整体 Japanese SEITAI (including her grandfather, an acupuncturist who was invited to treat the Japanese royal family) and inspired by her own lifelong journey managing epilepsy, Mayumi has deeply studied holistic bodywork across both Japan and Australia. Her extensive training includes advanced certifications with Dr. Ken Yamamoto in 2011 (KYT technique), Dr. Makoto Minami in 2014 (Nihon-Dento-Ryoho / 日本伝統療法), and Yasuharu Sato in 2023 (Tenryo Jutsu / 天療術).

​​Mayumi has been practicing therapeutic bodywork for over 15 years, dedicating the last decade to introducing and tailoring traditional Japanese techniques for her Australian clients. She has worked across a diverse range of clinical environments, helping a wide spectrum of individuals, including high-profile Hollywood celebrities!

She holds fully recognized massage accreditations in both Japan and Australia, and has been practicing locally in Australia since 2007.

​

After being granted permanent residency in Australia through a prestigious business sponsorship with The Spa at the Observatory Hotel (now The Langham Hotel) in Sydney, Mayumi followed her passion for health to establish her own businesses. She successfully opened MHClinic in 2018, followed by Alpha Remedial in Haymarket, to bring personalized, high-quality care to her clients.
